What we see as an emergency

If it hurts, it’s broken or it’s getting worse, it counts. Call us and we’ll find you a slot today.

!

Toothache and abscess

Throbbing pain, pain when you bite, or an abscess. We find the cause, relieve the pain and treat the infection.

/

Broken or chipped tooth

A cracked or chipped tooth is smoothed, protected or rebuilt so it stops catching and hurting.

○

Lost crown or filling

Bring the crown if you have it. We re-cement or replace it, or place a temporary to protect the tooth.

↓

Knocked-out or loose tooth

Keep the tooth in milk and call straight away. The sooner we see you, the better the chance of saving it.

●

Swelling and infection

A swollen face or gum needs seeing today. We drain, treat and prescribe as needed and plan the follow-up.

W

Wisdom tooth pain

Pain or infection around a wisdom tooth is settled first, then we talk through whether it needs removing.

If you have swelling that is affecting your breathing or swallowing, or heavy bleeding that won’t stop, go to A&E. For everything else, call us on 020 3148 2444.

Emergency dentist FAQs

How much is an emergency dentist appointment at Toothi?

£65. That covers the examination, diagnosis and getting you out of pain. An X-ray, if one is needed, is £15. Any treatment is quoted in writing before we start.

Can I be seen today?

We keep emergency slots every day we’re open, seven days a week. Call us and we’ll give you the next available time, usually the same day.

Do I need to be a registered patient?

No. We see emergency patients who have never visited us before. Just call, come in and we’ll take your details when you arrive.

Are you open on Sundays?

Yes, 10am to 5pm. We’re also open Saturdays 9am to 5pm and weekdays from 9am.

What if you’re closed when it happens?

Call us as soon as we open and we’ll fit you in. If you have swelling affecting your breathing or swallowing, or bleeding that won’t stop, go to A&E. For advice overnight you can call NHS 111.

Do you offer NHS emergency appointments?

No. Toothi is a fully private practice and every price on this page is a private fee.

Can I spread the cost of treatment?

Yes. Finance is available from Tabeo on treatment over £250, subject to status, including 0% finance over up to 10 months.

Will I see the same dentist for the follow-up?

Your written plan names the dentist who will carry out your treatment. Most follow-up treatment is done here at Toothi, and if something needs a referral we’ll arrange it.
