Our skilled dentists will remove all of the decay and plaque build up in the tooth and replace the hole with a long lasting filling material.

At toothi we strongly believe in maintaining a healthy environment and therefore do not use amalgam/mercury fillings.

A white composite filling is used which is environmentally friendly and more aesthetically pleasing. No one will notice you have a filling due to the colour being matched exactly to your teeth.

What are better – metal amalgam fillings or white composites fillings?

Composite fillings are bonded to the tooth and provide support and strength. Amalgam fillings are not glued to the tooth so involve more cutting of healthy tooth to provide retentive features so they don’t fall out.

What fillings do you use at toothi?

We as a practice have made the decision to only use white composite fillings, we do not have or use metal amalgam fillings on any of our patients. Besides a white composite filling is environmentally friendly and more aesthetically pleasing!
