Invisalign typically costs £1,500 to £5,500 in the UK in 2026, and £1,495 to £2,995 at Toothi. The price is set by how far your teeth need to move, which decides the type of Invisalign you need and how long treatment takes. Toothi publishes three fixed fees — £1,495, £2,495 and £2,995 — and every one includes the iTero scan, all reviews, refinements if needed, removable and fixed retainers, a hygiene clean and whitening.

Fees correct as of October 2026.

This guide covers the national picture: what each type of Invisalign costs across the UK, what a given length of treatment costs, what a fee should include and what is often charged on top, how prices differ by region and by type of provider, single-arch treatment, the NHS position and paying monthly. If you are comparing quotes inside the capital, our Invisalign cost in London guide covers that market separately.

UK Prices by Type

Invisalign cost UK 2026 — every type priced

Short answer: across the UK, Invisalign Express or i7 typically costs £1,500–£2,500, Invisalign Lite £2,000–£3,500, Moderate £3,000–£4,800 and Comprehensive (often called “Full”) £4,000–£5,500 or more. Clinics name their tiers differently, so the table lines up Toothi’s three published fees against the product names you will see on other quotes.

Toothi fees are our published prices, fixed in writing before treatment starts, with the inclusions listed below. Typical UK prices are indicative ranges compiled from the published price guides of UK dental clinics in October 2026; they are not quotes from any named practice, and what they include varies. Invisalign is private treatment everywhere in the UK.

How much does Invisalign Full cost in the UK? “Full” usually means Invisalign Comprehensive, the unlimited-aligner product used for bite correction and more severe crowding. Published UK prices for it typically run from £4,000 to £5,500 or more. Toothi does not treat comprehensive cases: if your scan shows you need one, we tell you at the free consultation and refer you on to an orthodontist we trust.

Cost by Treatment Length

How much do 3, 6 or 9 months of Invisalign cost?

Short answer: at Toothi, treatment of typically around 3 months is £1,495, around 6 months is £2,495 and around 9 months is £2,995. You are not charged by the month: the fee is fixed for the whole course, and the length is an average that follows from how much your teeth need to move.

Typical treatment lengthPrice at ToothiTier
Around 3 months£1,495Invisalign Go Express
Around 6 months£2,495Invisalign Go
Around 9 months£2,995Invisalign Go Plus
12 months or moreReferred onComplex cases

Those are averages across the cases treated at Toothi. Your own timeline is confirmed on your ClinCheck plan before you start. Aligners are worn 20–22 hours a day with a review roughly every 6–8 weeks, and wearing them for fewer hours than planned is the most common reason treatment runs longer than average. A “4-month” quote elsewhere will usually be an Express-type product; ask which product and how many aligners it includes. More detail in our guide to how long Invisalign takes.

What the Fee Covers

What is included — and what is often charged on top

Short answer: the headline price only means something once you know what sits inside it. Many UK quotes cover the aligners and charge separately for the scan, retainers, refinements or whitening. At Toothi all three fees include the same things:

ItemAt ToothiElsewhere in the UK
Consultation and iTero 3D scanFreeSome clinics charge up to £350 before you have decided anything
ClinCheck digital treatment planIncludedSometimes a separate planning fee
All review appointmentsIncludedUsually included; check
Refinement aligners if neededIncludedOften limited or charged for, depending on the product
Removable retainersIncludedFrequently extra; published UK prices for Vivera retainers range from about £100 to over £600
Fixed wire retainerIncludedFrequently extra
Airflow hygiene cleanIncludedUsually extra
Teeth whiteningIncludedUsually extra

Ask any clinic to confirm in writing which of these items sits inside its headline number, then compare totals rather than headlines. The fee Toothi quotes is the fee you pay. Every case is examined, planned and supervised in person by Dr Ali El-Kabengi (GDC 270807), a general dentist with a special interest in Invisalign.

Cost by Region

Invisalign price UK — how it varies around the country

Short answer: published Invisalign prices are highest in central London and broadly similar across the rest of the UK. The aligners themselves are the same wherever you are treated — every set is made by Align Technology — so the difference you see is in each clinic’s fee and in what that fee includes.

RegionTypical published range (minor to complex)
Central London (Zone 1, Harley Street and the West End)£2,500 – £6,000+
Outer London and the Home Counties£1,500 – £4,500
South East and South West England£1,800 – £5,000
Midlands and Northern England£1,400 – £4,500
Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland£1,400 – £4,500

Toothi is in Edgware, at the top of the Northern line. Patients travel to us from across London and Hertfordshire, and all three of our fees are published in full with everything included. Cost by Provider

Who treats you changes the price

Short answer: the type of practice matters as much as the postcode. In the UK, Invisalign is only supplied through dentists and orthodontists who have completed Align’s training, but they do not all offer the same products or price them the same way.

  • ✓  General dentists with a special interest in Invisalign usually treat mild to moderate cases with the Invisalign Go range, and refer complex bites on. This is how Toothi works.
  • ✓  Orthodontists offer the full range, including Comprehensive treatment for bite correction and severe crowding, and complex cases are usually priced at the top of the UK range.
  • ✓  Larger dental groups often advertise a national “from” price; check which product it refers to and what is included locally.
  • ✓  Mail-order and remote aligner companies are not Invisalign. They plan treatment without a dentist examining you in person or checking your gums and bone first, which is a large part of why they cost less.

Whichever you choose, a named GDC-registered clinician should examine you in person, take responsibility for the plan and see you through every stage.

Top or Bottom Only

Can you have Invisalign on just your top or bottom teeth?

Short answer: sometimes, but not as often as people hope. Single-arch treatment can work when only one arch is crowded and your bite is already good. Moving one arch on its own can change how your teeth meet, though, so many plans treat both arches even when only one bothers you. Some UK clinics price single-arch treatment separately. Your iTero scan and ClinCheck plan show whether one arch is enough, and your fee is confirmed in writing before you start.

Paying Monthly

Invisalign cost per month

Short answer: most UK patients spread the fee rather than paying it in one go. At Toothi you can pay 0% interest-free over up to 10 months on any treatment over £250, or spread a fee over a longer low-interest term.

Representative example (Invisalign Go Express only): £1,495 over 60 months = 12.9% APR fixed, £33.06 a month, cost of credit £488.71, total to pay back £1,983.71. Cherry Dental Ltd trading as Toothi is a credit broker, not a lender, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 957242). Credit is provided by Tabeo, subject to status.

You can check your options in two minutes with a soft search that does not affect your credit score, or read our guide to Invisalign monthly payments.

Does dental insurance cover Invisalign? Most UK dental insurance and cash plans exclude orthodontic treatment for adults, or cap it at a small contribution. Check your own policy wording before you rely on it.

NHS or Private

Is Invisalign available on the NHS?

Short answer: no. Invisalign is private treatment everywhere in the United Kingdom. The NHS funds orthodontic treatment only for under-18s with a clear clinical need, assessed on the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need (IOTN). In practice that means the more severe grades, and the treatment funded is fixed braces, not clear aligners. Adults are not normally eligible. The position is the same in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, which is why every Invisalign price you will find quoted in the UK is a private fee.

Toothi is a fully private practice and does not provide NHS treatment. Our fees are published in full on the Toothi fee list.

Worth Paying For?

Is Invisalign worth the cost?

Short answer: for the right case, yes — and a good consultation should tell you honestly when it is not the right case. Invisalign suits adults who want straighter teeth without fixed brackets, can wear aligners for 20–22 hours a day and have healthy gums. It is less suited to severe bite problems, where fixed braces or Comprehensive treatment with an orthodontist will finish the job better.

  • ✓  If teeth don’t track exactly to plan, refinement aligners correct them. That is normal, not a failure, and at Toothi refinements are included in the fee.
  • ✓  The result only lasts with retainers. Teeth drift without them, which is why both removable and fixed retainers are included in every Toothi fee.
  • ✓  Sometimes the answer isn’t aligners at all. Small chips, worn edges or minor unevenness can often be corrected with composite bonding instead of Invisalign, and some cases are better treated with fixed braces.
  • ✓  There is no upper age limit. Adults in their 30s, 40s and beyond have Invisalign; what matters is the health of your gums and the bone supporting your teeth, which is checked before you start.
Compare Properly

What to check before you compare quotes

Short answer: ask for the product, the inclusions and the fixed total in writing. Two quotes are only comparable once you know all three.

  • ✓  Which product or tier does my case need? An Express-type price is not comparable with a Comprehensive one.
  • ✓  Is the consultation and 3D scan free?
  • ✓  Are refinements included if teeth don’t track exactly to plan?
  • ✓  Are retainers included — both removable and fixed? You will need them for life.
  • ✓  Are whitening and a hygiene clean included?
  • ✓  Are review appointments included? You will have one every 6–8 weeks.
  • ✓  Is the total fixed in writing? It should not move once treatment starts.
  • ✓  Who is clinically responsible? A named GDC-registered dentist should examine you in person and supervise every stage.
Common Questions

Invisalign cost UK FAQs

How much does Invisalign cost in the UK in 2026?

Invisalign typically costs £1,500 to £5,500 across the UK, depending on the product your case needs, and £1,495 to £2,995 at Toothi. Toothi’s three published fees are £1,495 for Invisalign Go Express, £2,495 for Invisalign Go and £2,995 for Invisalign Go Plus, each including the iTero scan, all reviews, refinements if needed, removable and fixed retainers, an Airflow hygiene clean and Boutique whitening. Fees correct as of October 2026.

How much do 3 months of Invisalign cost?

At Toothi, treatment that typically takes around 3 months is Invisalign Go Express at £1,495, fixed for the whole course with retainers and whitening included. Around 6 months is £2,495 and around 9 months is £2,995. The length is an average and is confirmed on your ClinCheck plan before you start.

How much does Invisalign Full cost in the UK?

“Full” usually means Invisalign Comprehensive, used for bite correction and severe crowding. Published UK prices typically run from £4,000 to £5,500 or more, and treatment often takes 12 months or longer. Toothi does not treat comprehensive cases and refers them on to an orthodontist.

What is the Invisalign cost per month?

Most UK patients spread the fee. At Toothi you can pay 0% interest-free over up to 10 months on treatment over £250. Representative example for the Invisalign Go Express tier only: £1,495 over 60 months = 12.9% APR fixed, £33.06 a month, cost of credit £488.71, total to pay back £1,983.71. Cherry Dental Ltd trading as Toothi is a credit broker, not a lender, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 957242). Credit is provided by Tabeo, subject to status.

What is the Invisalign price UK clinics usually quote?

Most adult cases are mild to moderate, so many UK quotes fall between about £2,000 and £4,000. The headline number is only meaningful once you know which product it refers to and whether retainers, refinements, whitening, hygiene and review appointments are inside it.

Why do Invisalign prices vary so much across the UK?

Mainly because of the product your case needs and what each clinic includes in its fee. A quote that leaves out retainers and refinements can end up costing more than a higher headline price that includes them. Published prices are also highest in central London.

Can I have Invisalign on just my top or bottom teeth?

Sometimes. Single-arch treatment can work when only one arch is crowded and your bite is already good, but moving one arch can change how your teeth meet, so many plans treat both. Your scan and ClinCheck plan show whether one arch is enough, and the fee is confirmed in writing before you start.

What does the Invisalign price include at Toothi?

All three tiers — £1,495, £2,495 and £2,995 — include a free iTero scan and ClinCheck plan, all review appointments, refinement aligners if needed, removable and fixed retainers, an Airflow hygiene clean and Boutique whitening. There are no add-ons.

What happens if my teeth don’t move as planned?

Refinement aligners are made to bring any tooth that hasn’t tracked exactly back to plan. This is a normal part of treatment rather than a failure. At Toothi, refinements are included in all three fees.

Is 35 too old for Invisalign?

No. There is no upper age limit for Invisalign. What matters is the health of your gums and the bone supporting your teeth, which is checked at your consultation before any treatment is planned.

What is the 30-minute rule with Invisalign?

It is a rule of thumb for keeping aligners in long enough: keep each break, such as a meal, to around 30 minutes so the total time out stays within about 2 hours a day. That is the same thing as wearing them 20–22 hours a day. Our 22-hour rule guide explains how to manage it.

Can I get Invisalign on the NHS?

No. The NHS does not fund Invisalign for anyone. It funds orthodontic treatment only for under-18s with a clear clinical need on the IOTN scale, and that treatment is fixed braces. All Invisalign treatment in the UK is private.

Does dental insurance cover Invisalign?

Usually not for adults. Most UK dental insurance and cash plans exclude adult orthodontic treatment or cap it at a small contribution, so check your own policy wording.

Are mail-order aligners the same thing?

No. Remote aligner services plan the case without a dentist examining you in person, taking X-rays or checking that your gums and bone are healthy enough to move teeth. They cost less because those clinical steps are missing. Invisalign is supplied only through trained dentists and orthodontists who see you in person.

How much does Invisalign cost in London compared with the rest of the UK?
