What We See
What can I book with a weekend dentist in Edgware?
Weekend appointments are not limited to emergencies. Saturday and Sunday are full working days at Toothi, so you can book most of the same care you could on a weekday:
- ✓ Check-ups. A full examination, including oral cancer screening, is £55. X-rays are £15 each if needed.
- ✓ Hygiene appointments. A scale and polish (up to 20 minutes) is £70, or £125 for a comprehensive clean with Airflow (up to 30 minutes).
- ✓ Emergency appointments. Toothache, a broken tooth, a lost filling or crown, or swelling. An emergency appointment is £65.
- ✓ Children’s check-ups. Ages 5–15 are £30, and under-fives are seen free when a parent or guardian attends. See our children’s dentist page.
- ✓ Treatment and consultations. Fillings, root canal treatment, crowns, and consultations for implants, Invisalign and cosmetic work. Treatment is quoted after assessment, and the full list is on our fees page.
Why Weekends
Why choose a dentist open on Sunday?
For many people, the hardest part of seeing a dentist is finding the time. Weekday appointments can mean leaving work early, taking children out of school or rushing across London at lunchtime.
- ✓ No time off work. Saturday and Sunday appointments fit around a working week.
- ✓ No missed school. Children can have their check-ups at the weekend, often alongside a parent.
- ✓ Problems don’t wait for Monday. Toothache that starts on a Friday night does not have to last the whole weekend.
- ✓ Easier to keep up with care. Regular check-ups and hygiene visits are easier to keep when you can book at a time that suits you.
Patients come to us from Edgware, Mill Hill, Stanmore, Borehamwood and further afield. Edgware station on the Northern line is nearby.
Emergencies
Can I see an emergency dentist on a Sunday?
Yes. If you are in pain, have broken a tooth or have swelling, call us as early as you can on 020 3148 2444 and we will find you the soonest appointment. An emergency appointment is £65. The dentist assesses the problem, takes any x-rays needed for a diagnosis (£15 each) and explains your options and prices before any treatment.
Often we can start treatment in the same visit, for example first-stage root canal treatment to relieve pain (£350) or a temporary repair. Where more work is needed, we plan it with you. Read more on our emergency dentist page.
When to get urgent help: if you have swelling that is spreading across your face or neck, swelling affecting your breathing, swallowing or eye, a high temperature with dental pain, or a facial injury, go to A&E or call 999. Do not wait for a dental appointment.

When Closed
What if I need a dentist when you are closed?
Outside our opening hours, including Thursday afternoons and overnight, you can still get advice:
- ✓ Call NHS 111. NHS 111 can give advice and, where needed, direct you to an urgent dental service out of hours.
- ✓ Book online for our next opening. Online booking is open around the clock, so you can secure the first available slot.
- ✓ Manage pain safely. Take your usual painkiller, following the packet instructions, and ask a pharmacist if you are unsure. Avoid very hot, cold or sweet food on the painful side.
- ✓ Know the red flags. Spreading swelling, difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling near the eye, a high temperature or facial trauma need A&E or 999.
