How a smile makeover is actually planned
Foundations First
A properly planned case starts with the foundations. Are the gums healthy? Is the bite stable? Are the teeth in the right positions?
Alignment
If the teeth aren’t in the right place, alignment comes first — moving teeth into place means the result needs far less drilling, sometimes with bonding alone instead of veneers.
Whitening
Always done before any white restorations, because composite and porcelain don’t bleach. Get that order wrong and your new veneers will be the wrong shade forever.
Restorative Work
Only then the restorative work — and only as much of it as the result actually requires. You’ll see the projected outcome digitally before any of it starts.
The phrase “smile makeover” does a lot of work in dental marketing, and it hides the thing that matters: sequencing.
