A smile makeover is a combination of treatments, planned together, to straighten, reshape and brighten your teeth. Most of ours use some mix of Invisalign, composite bonding and whitening. Each plan is built around your own teeth and what you’d like to change, so no two are quite the same.
It isn’t one treatment. We look at what bothers you, whether that’s crooked teeth, chips, staining or uneven edges, and plan the steps that deal with it. We use well-established cosmetic techniques, nothing experimental. The aim is teeth that still look like yours, only straighter, tidier and a bit brighter.
STEP 01
Invisalign
Clear, removable aligners straighten the teeth. No fixed braces.
STEP 02
Composite Bonding
Tooth-coloured resin repairs chips, closes small gaps and smooths uneven edges.
STEP 03
Teeth Whitening
Professional whitening, stronger and longer-lasting than anything you can buy over the counter.
INVISALIGN
Straightening your smile, discreetly
Invisalign uses a series of custom-made clear plastic aligners to move your teeth gradually into position. They’re hard to spot when you’re wearing them, and you take them out to eat, drink and brush. That’s why a lot of adults and teenagers choose them over fixed metal braces, which are much more obvious and stay on until treatment ends.
You wear each set for approximately one to two weeks before moving on to the next. Each new set moves the teeth a little further along the plan. Most people find it comfortable, and we see you regularly to check the teeth are moving as planned.
COMPOSITE BONDING
Perfecting the shape of your smile
Once the teeth are straight, bonding deals with the detail. We add tooth-coloured resin to individual teeth to repair chips and cracks, close small gaps and even out worn or uneven edges. We sculpt and shape it by hand, and done well it looks like your own enamel.
It’s usually done in a single visit, and in most cases there’s no drilling. You get a visible change for very little intervention, which is why bonding so often finishes off straightening.
“Every smile makeover is planned around what you want to change. There isn’t a standard package.”
TEETH WHITENING
The finishing touch: a brighter smile
Whitening usually comes last, or just before bonding so the resin can be matched to the new shade. Teeth pick up stain from food, drink and smoking over the years, and shop-bought kits rarely shift much of it.
Professional whitening can lighten teeth by several shades, and the result lasts longer than over-the-counter products. You can have it done in the surgery or use a take-home kit we make for you.
