Composite bonding and porcelain veneers both change how your front teeth look, but they’re different treatments. Which one suits you depends on your teeth and what you want from them. Here’s how they compare.
Composite bonding
We shape tooth-coloured resin straight onto your teeth, usually in a single visit. It usually costs less per tooth, needs little or no drilling, and is easy to repair or reverse. It’s good for chips, small gaps and worn edges, and typically lasts around five to seven years.
Porcelain veneers
Thin custom shells are bonded to the front of your teeth. They cost more and they’re permanent. In return they resist staining better and last longer, so they’re the usual choice for a full smile makeover where you want a big change that holds up.

Which should you choose?
Roughly: bonding for smaller changes you can undo, veneers for a long-term change across the whole smile. We can only really tell you once we’ve seen your teeth.
