Is It Right For You
What can composite bonding fix?
Bonding works best on small, cosmetic problems with the front teeth. The cases above are typical of what we see.
- ✓ Chips and worn edges. The most common reason people come in. See what to do about a chipped tooth.
- ✓ Small gaps. Usually closed by adding composite to the sides of the teeth. More on bonding for gaps.
- ✓ Short or uneven teeth. Length and shape can be built back up.
- ✓ Patches whitening can’t shift. Composite can mask a stubborn mark on a single tooth.
If your teeth are crooked, bonding won’t move them. In that case we’ll usually suggest Invisalign first and bonding afterwards if you still want it. See composite bonding for crooked teeth.
How It Works
From consultation to finished smile
Free consultation
We look at your teeth, take photos, talk about the shape and shade you’d like and give you a written quote the same day.
Trial smile
We mock up the result on your teeth so you can see it before anything is done.
Bonding appointment
The composite is layered, shaped and polished by hand. Most cases are done in one visit, usually without an injection.
Review
A review appointment is included, and a yearly polish keeps the bonding looking its best.
Getting The Best Result
How do you keep bonding looking like the after photo?
Composite doesn’t whiten, so if you’re thinking about whitening, do it before your bonding so we can match the new shade. After that, brush gently with a non-abrasive toothpaste, go easy on tea, coffee and red wine, and come in for a polish once a year. Small chips can usually be repaired rather than redone. Common Questions
Composite bonding before and after FAQs
Are these real composite bonding before and after photos?
Yes. They’re photos of patients treated at Toothi London in Edgware. Results vary from person to person, and your own treatment is planned around your teeth.
Will my result look the same as these?
Not exactly, because every mouth is different. At your free consultation we take photos and can mock up a trial smile on your teeth, so you see your likely result before you commit.
How much does composite bonding cost at Toothi?
Edge bonding is £195 per tooth, or £995 for six teeth. A composite veneer is £295 per tooth, or £1,595 for six. You get a written quote at your free consultation.
How long does composite bonding take?
Most cases are finished in a single visit. Larger smile makeovers can take a little longer, and we’ll tell you at your consultation.
Does composite bonding hurt?
Most people find it comfortable. Bonding usually needs little or no removal of your natural tooth, so an injection often isn’t needed.
Can composite bonding be whitened afterwards?
No, composite doesn’t respond to whitening. If you’d like whiter teeth, whiten first and we’ll match the bonding to your new shade. See can you whiten composite bonding.
