What Implants Replace

What we can replace

  • ✓  A single missing tooth — one implant and one crown, from £1,995. The healthy teeth either side are left untouched.
  • ✓  Several missing teeth — implants can carry a bridge, so a three-tooth gap often needs two implants rather than three.
  • ✓  A full arch — an implant-retained denture on two to four implants is £7,995 and stops a loose lower denture moving. All-on-4 and All-on-6 fixed bridges are quoted after assessment.
  • ✓  An implant placed elsewhere that is failing — including work done abroad. We assess it and give you an honest view on whether it can be saved.
Why Toothi

Why Kingsbury patients travel to Edgware for implant treatment

Kingsbury has plenty of general dental practices along Kingsbury Road and around Kingsbury Circle, but implant dentistry is a different kind of decision. It’s a surgical procedure with a restorative outcome, and the thing that most reliably predicts a good result is how many implants the clinician has placed and how carefully the case was planned before anyone picked up a drill.

At Toothi you meet the person who will place your implant at the first appointment, and the same person restores it — nothing is handed off to a visiting implantologist you meet once and never see again. We take a 3D CBCT scan before we quote, so the plan you’re given is based on your actual bone rather than an estimate, and if the scan shows the site needs grafting first, we tell you at that point rather than halfway through treatment.

Toothi holds a 4.9-star rating across 130+ Google reviews and opens seven days a week, including Sundays — useful if a Kingsbury working week doesn’t leave room for a weekday appointment.

The Honest Comparison

Implant, bridge or denture — the honest comparison

An implant isn’t automatically the right answer. If the teeth either side of the gap are already crowned or heavily filled, a conventional bridge from £595 per unit can make more biological sense, because those teeth are compromised already. If several teeth are missing and cost is the deciding factor, a well-made denture from £595 still does a real job. Heavy smoking and uncontrolled diabetes both reduce implant success rates, and we’d rather say so at the consultation than after you’ve paid.

Simple Process

Your implant journey

01

Free Consultation & CBCT Scan

We assess the site and take a 3D CBCT scan before we quote, so the plan is based on your actual bone rather than an estimate.

02

Written Plan & Quote

Every figure is confirmed in a written treatment plan before treatment starts. If the site needs grafting first, you’re told now, not halfway through.

03

Placement

Placement takes about an hour under local anaesthetic. A temporary is made where the tooth shows, so you’re not left with a visible gap.

04

Your Crown

Once the bone has integrated with the implant, the same clinician who placed it fits your final crown.

How long it takes. A straightforward single implant is usually three appointments over three to four months: consultation and CBCT scan, placement (about an hour, under local anaesthetic), then the crown once the bone has integrated with the implant. Grafting or a sinus lift adds a few months. There’s more detail on the implant journey and on our main dental implants page.

Finding Us

Getting here from Kingsbury

We’re at 1 Handel Parade, Whitchurch Lane, Edgware, HA8 6LD. Kingsbury itself sits on the Jubilee line, which doesn’t run directly into Edgware, so most of our Kingsbury patients drive rather than take the tube. From Kingsbury Circle, the most direct route is up Kingsbury Road (A4140) and Honeypot Lane, then along Camrose Avenue into Edgware — around 10–15 minutes depending on traffic. From the Church Lane / Salmon Street end of Kingsbury, Fryent Way and Kingsbury Road onto the A5 Edgware Road is the more direct option. There’s pay-and-display and some free residential parking within a few minutes’ walk of the practice; we’re also a five-minute walk from Edgware Underground station if you’d rather come by bus and tube.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 9am–6pm
Thursday: 9am–12pm
Saturday: 9am–5pm
Sunday: 10am–5pm

Open 7 days. Implant surgery is normally booked on a weekday morning, but consultations and reviews can be at the weekend, which suits patients who can’t easily get away from work or family during the week.

Common Questions

Dental implants for Kingsbury patients — FAQs

How much does a dental implant cost for a Kingsbury patient?

At Toothi in Edgware, a short drive from Kingsbury via Honeypot Lane, a single implant including the crown starts from £1,995, with a free first implant consultation. An implant-retained denture on two to four implants is £7,995. Every figure is confirmed in a written treatment plan before treatment starts.

Is there a direct tube route from Kingsbury to Toothi?

Not a direct one. Kingsbury station is on the Jubilee line, which doesn’t connect straight through to Edgware, so most patients from Kingsbury find it quicker to drive up Kingsbury Road and Honeypot Lane, or take a bus, rather than change tube lines.

How long do dental implants last?

Well-maintained implants routinely last fifteen to twenty-five years and often longer. The crown on top usually needs replacing sooner, at around ten to fifteen years, because it wears like any other restoration. What shortens an implant’s life is gum inflammation, smoking and skipped maintenance rather than age.

Does placing an implant hurt?

Not during the procedure — the area is fully numb. Afterwards, expect two or three days of soreness roughly comparable to an extraction, managed with ordinary painkillers. Most patients are back at work the next day.

Can I get dental implants on the NHS?

Only in narrow clinical circumstances, such as after facial trauma or cancer treatment. Routine replacement of a missing tooth is a private treatment, which is why we publish our fees in full.

Is it cheaper to have implants done abroad?

Often, yes — but aftercare is the difficulty. If something needs adjusting six months later you’re looking at another flight, and UK dentists can’t always source parts for unfamiliar implant systems. We do see Kingsbury patients who’ve had implants placed abroad and need them reviewed, and we’re glad to help, but it’s worth factoring the follow-up into the comparison.
