What we treat
- ✓ A single missing tooth — an implant replaces the root and the crown without touching the healthy teeth either side. From £1,995 including the crown.
- ✓ Several missing teeth — two implants can carry a bridge of three or four teeth, so you do not need one implant per gap.
- ✓ A full arch — an implant-retained denture on 2–4 implants (£7,995) clips in and stops the denture moving. All-on-4 and All-on-6 fixed bridges are quoted after assessment.
- ✓ A failing or loose implant placed elsewhere — we assess, and we will tell you honestly whether it can be saved.
Who places your implant matters more than which implant
Patients ask us which implant system we use. It is a reasonable question, but it is not the one that determines the outcome. What determines the outcome is whether the bone was assessed properly on a 3D scan, whether the implant was placed in the right position for the crown that has to sit on it, and whether the gum around it was managed. A well-placed implant in an ordinary system outlasts a badly placed implant in a premium one, every time.
At Toothi the surgery and the crown are done by the same clinician. There is no referral out and back, no gap where responsibility gets lost, and one person who owns the result.
Toothi holds a 4.9-star rating across 130+ Google reviews and opens seven days a week, including Sundays.
The honest comparison: implant, bridge or denture?
An implant is not always the right answer. If the teeth either side of the gap are already heavily filled or crowned, a bridge from £595 per unit may make more sense — those teeth are already compromised, so preparing them costs you less biologically. If you are missing many teeth and cost is the deciding factor, a well-made denture from £595 does a real job. And if you smoke heavily, have uncontrolled diabetes, or have advanced untreated gum disease, an implant is likely to fail and we will not place one until that is addressed.
We would rather lose the case than sell you an implant you should not have.
What happens, step by step
Free Implant Consultation
We examine the site, discuss what you want, and explain the realistic options — including the ones that are not implants.
3D CBCT Scan & Planning
We measure the bone height, width and density and check the position of the nerve and sinus. This is where we find out whether you need a bone graft or a sinus lift; both are quoted after assessment.
Placement
Done under local anaesthetic, usually in under an hour for a single implant. Most patients are surprised by how uneventful it is. If you are anxious, IV sedation is available and you will remember almost none of it.
Healing — 3 to 6 Months
The bone fuses to the implant. You are not left with a gap; a temporary tooth bridges the wait.
The Crown
We scan, the crown is made to match your neighbouring teeth, and it is fitted.
Maintenance
Implants do not decay, but the gum and bone around them can become inflamed — peri-implantitis is the main reason implants are lost long-term. Implant hygiene therapy is £150 and a routine implant review is £95. This is not an upsell; it is how the implant lasts.

Dental implants Mill Hill FAQs
How much does a dental implant cost in Mill Hill?
At Toothi in Edgware, about ten minutes from Mill Hill Broadway, a single tooth implant including the crown starts from £1,995, with a free implant consultation. An implant-retained denture on 2–4 implants is £7,995. Every figure is quoted in writing after your CBCT scan, before treatment starts.
How long do dental implants last?
Well-maintained implants routinely last 15–25 years and often longer. The crown on top typically needs replacing sooner — think 10–15 years — because it wears like any other restoration. What shortens an implant’s life is gum inflammation, smoking and skipped maintenance, not age.
Does having an implant placed hurt?
The placement itself does not — you are fully numb. Afterwards, expect two or three days of soreness comparable to an extraction, managed with ibuprofen. Most people work the next day.
What if I have been told I do not have enough bone?
This is common and rarely the end of the story. Bone can be grafted, and the sinus floor can be lifted to create height in the upper back jaw. Both add time and cost, which is why the CBCT scan comes before any quote. Some patients are told elsewhere that implants are impossible when they are simply more involved.
Can I have all my teeth replaced in one day?
Same-day fixed teeth on implants — the All-on-4 concept — is real, but it depends on getting enough initial stability in the bone on the day. We assess this on the scan and will not promise it before we have seen your anatomy.
Are implants worth it compared with a bridge?
If the neighbouring teeth are healthy and untouched, yes — a bridge means grinding down two sound teeth to replace one. If those teeth are already crowned, the calculation changes entirely. We go through this properly at the consultation.
Do I need to change dentist to have an implant with you?
No. Plenty of Mill Hill patients have implant treatment with us and stay registered elsewhere for check-ups. We are also happy to take referrals from other dentists.
