Composite bonding in Turkey vs the UK: prices and what to check

Composite bonding prices in Turkey depend on the clinic, how many teeth and what the package covers, so compare the whole cost: travel, reviews and repairs as well as the dental fee. At Toothi in Edgware, edge bonding is £195 per tooth and composite veneers £295 per tooth, with the consultation, shade match and a review included. Here’s how to compare like with like.

We don’t publish overseas prices. They vary a lot from clinic to clinic, they change often, and any quote you get depends on your teeth. What stays the same is the list of things that push a price up or down, here or abroad. Use it to check any quote you’re given.

• ✓  Edge bonding or full composite veneers. Building up just the edge is quicker and costs less than covering the whole front of the tooth.
• ✓  How many teeth. Packages are often quoted for a full arch. Many smiles only need four to eight.
• ✓  Whitening first. Composite won’t whiten later, so whitening usually comes before bonding.
• ✓  Reviews and polishing. Composite needs a review after treatment and a polish now and then.
• ✓  Travel and time. Flights, a hotel and time off work.

The technique is the same anywhere. Tooth-coloured composite is built up on the tooth in layers and set with a light. How it turns out comes down to the dentist’s skill, how long they spend shaping and polishing, and whether the bite gets checked properly. Wherever you go, make sure you’re getting composite veneers, not porcelain veneers or crowns, which mean drilling away tooth.

What happens after you come home?

Composite is the easiest cosmetic material to repair, which is one of the good things about it. It’s also the one most likely to need small touch-ups over the years. Think about who’ll do them.

• ✓  Reviews. A check a couple of weeks after treatment to tidy the edges and the bite.
• ✓  Chips. A UK dentist can repair composite placed abroad, charged as new private treatment. See composite bonding repair.
• ✓  Polishing and stain. Hygiene visits keep composite glossy. See our composite bonding aftercare guide.
• ✓  Records. Ask for photos and a note of which teeth were bonded and with what, so the next dentist can match it.

Our fees are fixed and published. Every bonding price covers the consultation, shade match, treatment and a review appointment. The consultation itself is free, with photos and a written quote on the day.
