How much do veneers cost in the UK?

Veneers cost £295 per tooth for a composite veneer and £895 per tooth for a porcelain veneer at Toothi in Edgware. Six composite veneers are £1,595. Six porcelain veneers are £5,195, including the scan, mock-up, try-in, temporaries and a nightguard. The full table is below.

UK veneer pricing is famously opaque — most practices publish nothing, or a “from” figure that turns out to be the simplest possible case. Toothi publishes the complete list, per tooth and per package, so you can work out your own total before you book anything.

What is included in a porcelain veneer package

Porcelain packages of six teeth or more are quoted as a single fixed fee that includes the whole planning and delivery process, not just the veneers themselves:

  • iTero digital scan
  • Digital mock-up of the proposed result
  • Wax-up try-in, so you see and approve the shape before anything is made
  • Temporaries while the porcelain is being made
  • Review appointment after fit
  • A nightguard to protect the work

Single porcelain veneers at £895 per tooth are priced individually; the package inclusions above apply to cases of six teeth or more.

Composite vs porcelain veneers cost — which is right for you

The cost gap is roughly three-to-one per tooth, and it buys three things: longevity, stain resistance and the level of shape change that is possible.

Composite veneer — £295 per toothPorcelain veneer — £895 per tooth
How it is madeSculpted by hand onto your tooth in the chairMade in a dental laboratory from a digital scan
VisitsUsually oneTwo, with temporaries in between
Tooth preparationMinimal to noneA thin layer of enamel is prepared
ReversibleLargely yesNo
Typical lifespanFour to seven yearsTen to fifteen years
StainingPicks up stain over timeHighly stain resistant
RepairableYes, topped up in the chairReplaced rather than repaired

Composite suits people who want a reversible change, a first look at a new smile, or a result now rather than in six weeks. Porcelain suits people making a long-term decision, particularly where shade is being changed substantially or teeth are worn.

Full set of veneers cost UK

“A full set” usually means the teeth that show when you smile — six, eight or ten — not all 32. Very few people need veneers on their back teeth.

  • Six teeth: £1,595 composite, £5,195 porcelain
  • Eight teeth: £1,995 composite, £6,895 porcelain
  • Ten teeth: £2,395 composite, £8,595 porcelain

At the consultation we count how many of your teeth genuinely show in a full smile. If six will do the job, we will say so rather than quote you for ten.

2 front teeth veneers cost UK

Two front teeth is a common request — usually the two central incisors after a chip, a gap or discolouration in one tooth. Small cases like this are priced per tooth: £295 each for composite, £895 each for porcelain. The package rates apply from four teeth upwards.

One thing worth knowing before treating only two teeth: shade matching against your existing teeth is harder than resurfacing a whole smile line, and if you plan to whiten, whiten first. Composite and porcelain do not respond to whitening gel once placed. Where the issue is only a worn or chipped edge, edge bonding at £195 per tooth often solves it without a veneer at all.

Veneers cost UK vs Turkey

The headline figures quoted by overseas clinics are lower than UK fees, and that is the whole basis of the comparison. What the headline figure does not cover is worth thinking through before you book flights.

  • Aftercare. If a veneer debonds, chips or the bite needs adjusting, you are in a different country from the dentist who placed it. Follow-up visits mean flights, or a UK practice picking up work it did not plan.
  • Treatment planning time. A compressed schedule leaves little room for a wax-up try-in and your approval of the shape before the porcelain is made. Toothi builds that step into every package of six or more.
  • Regulation and recourse. UK dentists are registered with the General Dental Council and you have a defined complaints route. That does not exist in the same form overseas.
  • The real total. Compare the overseas headline plus flights, accommodation, time off work and any remedial treatment against a fixed UK fee that includes the planning, the temporaries, the review and a nightguard.

Plenty of people have good outcomes abroad. The point is to compare the whole cost and the whole process, not two headline numbers.

What else affects the cost of veneers

Treatment needed first. Veneers go onto healthy teeth and healthy gums. Decay, gum disease or a failing old restoration is dealt with first and priced separately — a check-up from £55 establishes what, if anything, is needed. Fillings start from £145.

Alignment. Where teeth are crowded or rotated, straightening them first usually means fewer veneers and less tooth preparation. Invisalign before veneers is often the more conservative plan, and we will tell you when it is.

Whitening. If you want a lighter base shade, whitening comes before veneers so the porcelain or composite is matched to the final colour.

Grinding. A nightguard is £195 and is already included in porcelain packages of six or more. If you clench or grind, it is not optional — it is what protects the investment.
