Most London clinics that publish a price charge £1,694 to £2,900 for a single dental implant, and the typical (median) published price is £2,400. At Toothi in Edgware a single implant is a fixed £1,995 including the Osstem implant, the abutment, a porcelain crown and every review appointment. The CBCT 3D scan needed before placement is taken at a referral imaging centre and paid to them directly, so it is not included in the £1,995. Below is what each part of implant treatment typically costs across London, so you can see where any quote you have been given sits.

Why Prices Differ

Why one London implant quote is £1,200 and another £3,500

  1. Implant only, or the finished tooth. A finished implant tooth has three parts: the implant in the bone, the abutment that connects it, and the crown you see. Many headline prices cover only the first. In Harrow alone, DentistFees found 21 practices publishing a price labelled as the implant fixture rather than a complete implant. Abutments are often quoted separately at £250–£600 and crowns at £600–£1,350.
  2. The scan and the planning. Every implant should be planned from a CBCT 3D scan. Some clinics include it; many charge for it separately.
  3. Bone grafts and sinus lifts. If a tooth has been missing for a while, the bone shrinks and may need building up. Most fee pages say “on assessment”, which is how a quoted price grows after the scan. Ask for the graft and sinus-lift prices before you commit.
  4. The implant system. Different implant brands carry different costs. Toothi uses the Osstem TS system, which has more than 20 years of published clinical data.
  5. Who places it. Implants in the UK are placed by GDC-registered dentists with additional training, and by registered oral surgeons and periodontists. Implant dentistry is not a separate GDC-registered title, so ask who will place your implant and what training they have, and check their name on the GDC register.

What Toothi’s £1,995 includes — and what it doesn’t

  • ✓  The Osstem implant placed in the bone.
  • ✓  The abutment that connects the implant to the crown.
  • ✓  A porcelain crown, shade-matched to your own teeth.
  • ✓  Every review appointment through treatment.
  • ✓  A free consultation with a written treatment plan.
  • ✗  Not included: the CBCT 3D scan. It is taken at a referral imaging centre and paid to them directly.
  • ✗  Not included: a bone graft or sinus lift, only added if your scan shows you need one, at the published prices above, and you know before you commit.
  • ✗  Not included: a fixed full-arch bridge (All-on-X). Fixed full-arch bridges (All-on-X) are available, priced on assessment at your free consultation.

Replacing more than one tooth? A second implant at the same visit is £1,795 because it shares your scan, consultation and surgery; three teeth in a row on two implants is £4,495; and an implant-retained denture is £7,995 per arch. Afterwards, a routine implant examination is £95 and implant hygiene therapy £150.

Before You Book

Ten questions to ask any London implant clinic

  1. Is that the price of the finished tooth — implant, abutment and crown?
  2. Is the CBCT 3D scan included, and where is it taken?
  3. From what you can see, am I likely to need a bone graft or sinus lift, and what do they cost?
  4. Which implant system do you use?
  5. Who will place the implant, and what training do they have?
  6. For a front tooth, what will I wear while it heals, and is that included?
  7. How many review appointments are included?
  8. What happens, and what does it cost, if the implant doesn’t take?
  9. What will maintenance cost each year afterwards?
  10. Will I have the full price in writing before I commit?

Common Questions

Dental implant cost in London FAQs

How much does a dental implant cost in London in 2026?

Most London clinics that publish a price charge £1,694–£2,900 for a single implant, with a typical (median) published price of £2,400 across 176 clinics (Keystone, September 2026). At Toothi in Edgware it is £1,995 including the implant, abutment, porcelain crown and every review; the CBCT scan is paid separately to the imaging centre.

Why do some London clinics advertise implants for under £1,500?

Usually because the figure covers only the implant fixture, not the abutment and crown, or because it is a “from” price for the simplest case. Ask every clinic for the price of the finished tooth, in writing, and what it leaves out.

Is the CBCT scan included in implant prices?

At many London clinics it is charged separately. At Toothi the CBCT scan is taken at a referral imaging centre and paid to them directly, so it is not included in the £1,995.

How much do full-mouth dental implants cost in London?

An implant-retained denture on two to four implants is typically £8,000–£14,000 per arch where London clinics publish it; at Toothi it is £7,995 per arch. A fixed full-arch bridge (All-on-X) is typically £14,000–£30,000 per arch in central London. At Toothi, fixed full-arch bridges (All-on-X) are available, priced on assessment at your free consultation.

Can I get dental implants on the NHS in London?

Only with a clear medical need — for example after mouth cancer treatment, major facial injury, or where adult teeth never developed — and then through a hospital referral. Tooth loss from decay, gum disease or an ordinary accident does not qualify. See our guide to NHS dental implants.

Can I spread the cost of an implant?

Yes. Treatment over £250 can be spread over up to 10 months at 0% through Tabeo, subject to status, and you receive a written illustration with your treatment plan. Cherry Dental Ltd trading as Toothi is a credit broker, not a lender, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 957242).
