Invisalign is the world’s most popular invisible braces and clear aligner system — a series of near-invisible, removable aligners that gently move your teeth into place, with no metal brackets or wires. You take them out to eat and clean, and most people won’t notice you’re wearing them. At Toothi in Edgware, every case is planned and supervised personally by Dr Ali El-Kabengi (GDC 270807), from mild crowding to fuller corrections. Patients travel to us from across north London — including for Invisalign in Stanmore and Mill Hill.
What can Invisalign fix?
Invisalign treats most everyday alignment problems — crowded or overlapping teeth, gaps and spacing, and many overbite, underbite and crossbite issues — as well as teeth that have relapsed years after childhood braces. Small tooth-coloured attachments or elastics are sometimes used to help certain movements. Some complex cases are still better suited to fixed braces or specialist care, and if that’s true for you we’ll say so honestly at your free consultation rather than fit you into the wrong treatment. You can compare the options in our guide to Invisalign vs braces.

Teeth straightening options in Edgware
Most adults who come to us for teeth straightening in Edgware want the same three things: a result that looks natural, a brace nobody notices, and a price they know before they start. That is why clear aligners are the straightening treatment we provide at Toothi, and why every quote is one of three fixed, published tiers.
Invisalign clear aligners
Invisalign straightens teeth with a series of thin, removable trays, each moving your teeth a small, planned distance. You take them out to eat, brush and for important moments, and most people around you will not notice them. Treatment is planned on a free iTero 3D scan, so you see a simulation of how your teeth are expected to move before you commit.
- Minor Correction — £1,495: small amounts of crowding, a gap, or teeth that have moved back after childhood braces.
- Invisalign Go — £2,495: moderate crowding and spacing on the front teeth.
- Invisalign Go Plus — £2,995: more movement across a wider span of teeth.
Retainers are included in every tier. You will know which tier suits you at your free consultation, before you pay anything.
When fixed braces or an orthodontist are the better route
Aligners work well for most everyday alignment problems, but not every case. Severe bite problems, significant jaw discrepancies and some rotated or impacted teeth can be better treated with fixed braces. If your scan shows that, we will tell you plainly at the consultation and refer you to a specialist orthodontist rather than start a treatment that is not right for you.
Finishing touches after straightening
Once your teeth are straight, some patients choose to refine the shape of worn or chipped edges. Composite bonding in Edgware is £200 to £350 per tooth and is best done after alignment, so less needs to be built up. It is optional and never part of a straightening quote unless you ask for it.
Who teeth straightening suits
Adults and older teenagers with healthy teeth and gums are usually suitable. Gum disease or decay is treated first, because moving teeth in unhealthy gums can do harm. If you had braces as a child and your teeth have crept back, that is one of the most common reasons adults see us, and it is often a Minor Correction case. You can read more about braces for adults and how teeth straightening works in general.

Teeth straightening & Invisalign FAQs
How much does teeth straightening cost in the UK?
Private teeth straightening in the UK usually costs from around £1,500 for minor aligner cases to £5,000 or more for complex treatment. At Toothi in Edgware, Invisalign is one of three fixed prices — £1,495, £2,495 or £2,995 — with retainers included and a free consultation and iTero 3D scan.
Will the NHS straighten my teeth?
NHS orthodontic treatment is mainly for under-18s whose teeth meet a clinical threshold of need, assessed using the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need (IOTN). Adults rarely qualify, and treatment for appearance alone is not normally funded. Toothi is a fully private practice and does not provide NHS treatment.
Will the NHS pay for Invisalign?
Invisalign is generally not available on the NHS, which funds fixed braces where there is a clinical need. Invisalign is a private treatment; at Toothi finance is available subject to status, including 0% APR over up to 10 months.
How long does teeth straightening take?
Minor aligner cases can take around six months, and most Invisalign treatment is complete within 6 to 18 months. Your scan and treatment plan give you an estimated timeline before you start.
How much does Invisalign cost in Edgware?
Invisalign at Toothi is from £1,495 to £2,995 depending on how much movement your teeth need — including your aligners, all reviews and any planned refinements. The consultation and iTero 3D scan are free, and finance is available from £33.06 a month over 60 months at 12.9% APR, with 0% APR over up to 10 months, subject to status.
How long does Invisalign take?
Most cases take between 6 and 18 months, depending on how far your teeth need to move and how consistently you wear the aligners (20–22 hours a day). You’ll get a realistic personal estimate at your free consultation.
Does Invisalign hurt?
You’ll feel mild pressure or tightness for a day or two with each new aligner — a sign the teeth are moving — and it settles quickly. There are no brackets or wires to rub your cheeks and lips.
Will people notice I’m wearing aligners?
The aligners are thin and transparent, so at conversational distance most people won’t notice them. Some patients have a slight lisp for the first few days while the tongue adapts, which almost always settles within a week.
Can Invisalign fix crowded teeth or an overbite?
Usually yes — crowding, spacing and many bite problems respond well to aligners, sometimes with small attachments or elastics to help. Severe cases may need fixed braces or specialist care, and we’ll tell you honestly if that’s the better route.
Do I have to wear a retainer afterwards?
Yes — after any teeth-straightening treatment, retainers are what stop teeth drifting back. We’ll plan fixed or removable retainers (or both) with you before your treatment finishes.
Do you offer finance?
Yes — 0% APR over up to 10 months, 9.9% APR over 12 to 18 months, or 12.9% APR over 24 to 60 months, subject to status, on treatments over £250. Over 60 months at 12.9% APR that is from £33.06 a month. Representative example: Invisalign Minor Correction at £1,495 over 60 months at 12.9% APR (fixed) = £33.06 per month. Total amount repayable £1,983.71. Total interest £488.71. Finance provided by Tabeo, subject to status.
