What Is Included

What does the £1,995 include?

The fee covers the whole single-tooth implant, from placement to final crown. The crown and abutment aren’t charged on top.

  • ✓  Osstem implant placed in the jawbone.
  • ✓  Abutment connecting the implant to the crown.
  • ✓  Porcelain crown shaped for chewing and matched to your teeth. See how implant crowns work.
  • ✓  Digital planning, plus a surgical guide when guided surgery is used.
  • ✓  All reviews during treatment.

The CBCT scan isn’t included; it’s taken at a referral imaging centre and paid to them directly.

Extras

When does a molar implant cost more?

Molars sometimes need extra bone support because they sit in areas where bone can be limited. Your scan decides. If you don’t need it, you don’t pay for it.

  • ✓  Upper molars and the sinus. The sinus sits just above the upper back teeth. If bone height is short, an internal (crestal) sinus lift for £595 may be needed. Toothi doesn’t carry out lateral-window lifts; larger cases are referred on. Read more about sinus lifts for implants.
  • ✓  Bone loss after extraction. If the molar has been missing for a while, or was lost to infection, a bone graft may be needed: minor from £395, or major with membrane from £995. See dental bone graft cost.
  • ✓  Lower molars and the nerve. The scan maps the nerve in the lower jaw so the implant length is planned safely.

Missing Molar

Should you replace a missing molar tooth?

You don’t have to. It’s worth thinking about, though. Molars do most of the chewing. Once one goes, the teeth next to it and above or below it can drift into the space, and the bone there tends to shrink.

An implant is one option; a bridge or partial denture (from £595) are others. We’ll go through the pros and cons of each at your consultation. See implants vs dentures vs bridges and missing tooth replacement options. If the molar is still there but damaged, ask whether it can be saved first: see crown vs implant.

Common Questions

Molar implant FAQs

How much is a molar implant in the UK?

Fees vary between clinics. At Toothi a single molar implant is £1,995 including the implant, abutment, porcelain crown and all reviews. A sinus lift or bone graft is extra only if needed.

Is a molar implant more expensive than a front tooth implant?

Not at Toothi. The single implant fee is the same. Molars are more likely to need a sinus lift or graft, which is priced separately and only added if your scan shows a need.

Do upper molar implants always need a sinus lift?

No. Many have enough bone. Where they don’t, we carry out an internal sinus lift for £595; cases needing a larger lateral-window lift are referred on.

Is the crown included in the molar implant price?

Yes. The porcelain crown and abutment are included in the £1,995 fee.

Is the CBCT scan included?

No. It’s taken at a referral imaging centre and paid to them directly. Your implant consultation at Toothi is free.

Can I leave a missing molar?

You can, but neighbouring teeth may drift and the bone can shrink over time. We’ll talk through whether replacing it makes sense for you.
