Invisalign Cost UK 2026: What You’ll Really Pay

If you’ve started researching Invisalign, you’ll have noticed the prices are all over the place — one clinic says “from £1,495”, another quotes £5,500, and half of them won’t publish a number at all. This guide explains what Invisalign actually costs across the UK in 2026, why the range is so wide, what should be included in a fair quote, and how to compare clinics without being caught out. It’s written by the team at Toothi, a private dental clinic in Edgware, North London, where every Invisalign case is planned personally by our principal dentist, Dr Ali El-Kabengi (GDC 270807).

The quick answer

In 2026, Invisalign in the UK typically costs between £1,500 and £5,500. Short “express” treatments for minor front-teeth corrections sit at the lower end (roughly £1,500–£2,500), most everyday cases fall between £2,500 and £4,000, and comprehensive treatment for complex bites at central London addresses can reach £5,500 or more. In an August 2026 check of London clinics’ published prices, advertised starting prices ranged from around £1,500 in outer London to £3,600 in zone one — for the same aligner product, planned with the same software.

At Toothi in Edgware, Invisalign starts from £1,495 for a Minor Correction, with Invisalign Go at £2,495 and Invisalign Go Plus at £2,995 — each with a free consultation and free iTero 3D scan worth £250, and 0% finance available. No case is ever priced without an assessment first, so treat every “from” price — ours included — as a starting point that your scan will confirm.

What actually determines the price

Invisalign is not one product at one price. The fee your dentist quotes reflects four things.

1. How far your teeth need to move

The single biggest factor. Mild crowding of the front teeth, or teeth that have relapsed a little since childhood braces, may need only a short series of aligners over four to six months. Rotated teeth, larger gaps and bite correction need more aligners, more clinical time and often refinements at the end — and the fee rises with them. This is why an honest clinic will not give you a final figure over the phone.

2. Which Invisalign package your case needs

Invisalign itself comes in tiers — Express-type packages with a handful of aligners, mid-range packages such as Invisalign Go (up to 20 aligners), and comprehensive packages with unlimited aligners for complex cases. The lab fee the practice pays Align Technology differs for each, and your fee follows.

3. Where the clinic is

A clinic on Harley Street pays central-London rent, and that shows up in the price of every treatment. Outer-London and regional practices routinely charge £1,000–£2,000 less for the same package. Edgware sits at the end of the Northern line, which is exactly why patients from across North London travel to us rather than into town.

4. Who plans and supervises your case

The aligners are made by Align Technology, but the treatment plan — which teeth move, in what order, how far — is designed by your clinician, and it’s the plan that determines your result. Some low-cost providers run remote models where you may never see the same clinician twice, or at all. Part of what you pay for in a good quote is the same dentist scanning you, designing your ClinCheck and seeing you at every review.

What should be included in the price

Two quotes that look £500 apart can be identical — or £1,000 apart in real terms — depending on what’s inside them. Before you compare numbers, check each of these line by line:

The consultation and scan. Many practices, including ours, offer the consultation and iTero 3D scan free (ours is worth £250). Others charge £50–£150 for it, sometimes deducted from treatment if you go ahead.

Refinements. Teeth don’t always finish exactly where the software predicted, and many cases need a short extra series of aligners at the end. Some clinics include unlimited refinements; others charge several hundred pounds. Ask directly.

Retainers. After any teeth straightening you need retainers for life — typically £150–£500 if charged separately. A quote that excludes them isn’t a complete price.

Whitening and finishing. Many patients whiten once teeth are straight. Some packages include it; bought separately it’s typically £250–£400.

Review appointments. Usually included, but worth confirming — you’ll have a short review every six to eight weeks throughout treatment.

If a price looks unusually low, one of the items above is usually missing. We’ve written more about how to judge that in Is cheap Invisalign safe?

Can you get Invisalign on the NHS?

No — for adults, Invisalign is a private treatment. NHS orthodontics is generally limited to under-18s with a clear clinical need, and uses fixed braces rather than aligners. Some private dental insurance and health cash plans contribute towards adult orthodontics, so it’s worth checking your policy, but most patients pay privately, usually monthly.

Paying monthly: how finance changes the picture

Most of our Invisalign patients don’t pay the fee up front. Spread over time, treatment starting at £1,495 works out from around £34 a month on a five-year low-interest plan, and 0% interest-free finance is available over up to 10 months. A representative example: Invisalign Go at £2,495 over 60 months at 12.9% APR (fixed) is £56.64/month, with £3,398.48 repayable in total. Finance is provided by Tabeo, subject to status; Cherry Dental Ltd (FRN 957242) is a credit broker, not a lender.

How Invisalign compares with the alternatives

Fixed braces from a private orthodontist typically cost £2,500–£5,000 in the UK — broadly comparable with Invisalign, so the choice usually comes down to lifestyle rather than budget (our Invisalign vs braces guide covers this in detail). Mail-order aligner brands advertise from under £1,500, but you trade away in-person supervision — no dentist physically checks your gums, roots and bite before or during treatment, which is why we don’t recommend that route even for simple cases.

Why our prices start lower than central London

The honest reason is overheads, not corners. We’re in Edgware rather than zone one, the clinic is owned and led by the dentist who treats you, and Invisalign is one of our core treatments rather than an occasional add-on — so cases are planned efficiently and priced transparently. Every plan at Toothi includes the scan, all review appointments, teeth whitening to finish, and a written fixed quote confirmed at your ClinCheck before you commit a penny. Patients visit us from Stanmore, Harrow, Mill Hill and across North West London, and we’re open seven days a week so reviews fit around work.

Invisalign cost FAQs

How much is Invisalign in the UK in 2026?

Typically £1,500–£5,500 depending on case complexity, the Invisalign package used and the clinic’s location. Minor corrections sit at the lower end; comprehensive treatment in central London sits at the top. At Toothi in Edgware, treatment starts from £1,495 with a free consultation and iTero scan.

Why do clinics quote such different prices for the same brand?

Location and overheads, the tier of Invisalign package your case needs, who plans and supervises the treatment, and what’s bundled in — refinements, retainers, whitening and reviews can add £500–£1,000 if charged separately.

Is Invisalign ever available on the NHS?

Not for adults. NHS orthodontic treatment is generally restricted to under-18s with a qualifying clinical need and uses fixed braces. Adult Invisalign is always private, though some insurance policies contribute.

Can I pay for Invisalign monthly?

Yes — most patients do. At Toothi you can spread the cost at 0% APR over up to 10 months, or from around £34 a month over up to five years on low-interest finance, subject to status.

What’s the cheapest way to get Invisalign safely?

Choose an outer-London or regional practice where a named dentist plans and supervises your case in person, and make sure the quote includes refinements, retainers and all reviews. A complete £1,495–£2,995 quote is usually better value than a lower headline price with extras added later.
